Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) of long-term duration mostly complicated with central nervous system damage. With the proposal of the gut-brain axis (GBA), it has been gradually found that the intestinal microecological imbalance plays a key role in T2DM related brain injury. The research progresses of multimodal MRI of T2DM related brain injury caused by intestinal microecological imbalance were reviewed in this article. |
