Mechanical ventilation (MV) has been widely used as the supportive treatment, which has been clinically demonstrated causing mechanical ventilation. Ultrasound is one of the important imaging methods in the management of critical patients. The changes of the diaphragm and relative ultrasonic manifestations during the course of MV were reviewed in this paper, and the value of ultrasound for evaluation and treatment of MV-induced diaphragmatic dysfunction was discussed. |
