动脉粥样硬化是一种慢性、动态的炎症性疾病。急性临床事件的主要决定因素是动脉粥样硬化斑块的生物组成和炎性状况,而非其狭窄程度和大小。PET/CT作为一种无创检查技术,是对机体全身功能和结构相结合的成像方式。从基础科学、动物和临床研究中得来的数据均支持PET/CT在评估大动脉的动脉粥样硬化疾病中的作用。 |

Atherosclerosis is a chronic, dynamic inflammatory disease. The biological composition and inflammatory state of an atherosclerotic plaque, rather than the degree of stenosis or its size, are the major determinants of acute clinical events. PET/CT, a non-invasive and combined functional and structural whole-body imaging modality, holds great potential for this purpose. Data from basic sciences, animal and clinical studies support the emerging role of PET/CT in assessing atherosclerosis in large arteries. |
