| The use of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in alert monkeys is of great potential for research in behavioral neuroscience. However, due to a variety of technical difficulties, it has yet to be widely adopted for use in alert monkeys. In this review, methodological considerations when imaging conscious animals were present, and examples of the application of fMRI in behavioral neuroscience research were introduced, along with discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of this technology. |
