| Neonatal hypoglycemic encephalopathy can cause permanent neurological sequelae. Conventional MRI been proven sensitive for detecting lesions and their evolution over time. Diffusion MRI and proton MRS revealed a predominance of observing abnormalities in the parieto-occipital lobes and underlying white matter including the splenium of the corpus callo-sum, being helpful to evaluating the extent and the presence of neuronal damage early in the course of neonatal hypoglycaemic encephalopathy. |
