| Parathyroid preoperative localization is becoming increasingly important with the trend toward limited surgical approaches. Although there are a variety of methods used to identify the site of parathyroid adenomas, radionuclide imaging is at present the agent of choice, especially with the development of the SPECT, SPECT/CT and PET. The value of radionuclide imaging and debates about some points were reviewed in this article. |
