The recovery and rehabilitation of motor function in patients after stroke has related to the neural plasticity and functional reorganization of the motor cortex. Functional magnetic resonance imaging especially the BOLD-fMRI has played a growing important role in the study of the functional reorganization of the motor cortex after stroke. This article introduces the mechanisms of the neural plasticity and functional reorganization of the motor cortex after stroke and the progress on study of functional reorganization of motor cortex after stroke by using BOLD-fMRI. |
