| HAART问世后,由于其强效抗逆转录病毒作用,AIDS病程进展延缓,病人存活期延长,生活质量提高,死亡率降低。然而,脂肪营养不良、高血脂、高血糖及胰岛素抵抗被认为是抗逆转录病毒药物的副作用被广泛报道。HIV感染和抗逆转录病毒药物的毒副作用均可引起心血管损害,但其确切关系尚不清楚。超声心动图作为首选的检查方法,被广泛应用于评价HAART疗效及其心血管毒副作用的研究中。 |

| Highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART, a combination of at least three drugs) has led to substantial reductions in morbidity and mortality in patients with AIDS. Following the sustained major declines in complications, HIV infection becomes a chronic disease, for which more drugs are used in patients for long periods of time. So that more drug-related toxicity and metabolic disturbances from antiretroviral drugs have been recognized. HIV and HAART may be risk factors in developing cardiovascular disease in patients with HIV infection. Ultrasound as a useful technique is widely applied in assessing the effect of antiretroviral therapy on cardiovascular in patients with AIDS. |
