Objective To investigate the clinical values of 99Tcm-MIBI imaging in evaluating malignant degrees of brain glioma. Methods The patients who were diagnosed as brain glioma by pathology underwent 99Tcm-MIBI SPECT imagings before operating. By using regions of interest (ROI) technique, the differences among the tumor highest count/normal tissue highest count (T/NT1), tumor mean count/normal tissue mean count (T/NT2), tumor highest count/pituitary highest count (T/NT3) and tumor mean count/pituitary mean count (T/NT4) were compared to evaluate the malignant degrees of brain gliomas. Results In evaluating the malignant degrees, when using T/NT3 and T/NT4, there were significant difference between high degree malignant group and low degree malignant group, and using T/NT3 and T/NT4 was more valuable than using T/NT1 and T/NT2. Conclusion 99Tcm-MIBI imaging has high value in identifying the malignant degree of brain glioma. |
