| The recent progress in neuroimaging studies on motor recovery following stroke was reviewed in this article. Both cross-sectional and longitudinal approaches had been employed to examine brain reorganization after stroke and its correlation with motor recovery. The implications of these findings were discussed in relation to the role of ipsi-and contra- hemispheres. |
