| Previous studies have demonstrated that the persistence of an intact microcirculation after myocardial ischemia is a prerequisite for the myocardium to stay alive. Myocardial contrast echocardiography (MCE) can evaluate the myocardial micro-vascular perfusion qualitatively and quantitatively. At the same time, this technique can also assess regional ventricular wall movement. Therefore, MCE has unique value in the assessment of myocardial viability. |
