Purpose To discuss the method of 1HMRS in temporal lobe and establish the normal range of the metablelic
value in Chinese people. Methods 30 healthy volunteers underwent 1HMRS study on 2. 0T MRI/ MRS system. Signals of
NAA ,Cr and Cho were observed ,Ratios of NAA/ Cr + Cho ,NAA/ Cr and Cho/ Cr were calculated. Results The signal
from NAA was higher than that from Cr and Cho. There was no significant difference of NAA/ Cr + Cho ,NAA/ Cr and
Cho/ Cr between two temporal lobes. The mean NAA/ Cr + Cho ratio was 0.72 , the lower limit of NAA/ Cr + Cho was
0.60. Conclusions MRS is a new noninvasive method for biochemistry study of human brain. The determination of normal
range of NAA/ Cr + Cho provided a standard for detecting metabolic abnormality in temporal lobe epilepsy. |
