This study investigated the mitral valve and pulmonary venous flow parameters in 58 normal subjeets (NS) and in 56 patients with primary hypertension (HT,with normal left ventrioular systolic function)using pulsed Doppler echocardiography. The results showed that the diastolic parameters of mitral flow Ep,Ei.E/A ratio were decreased and AFF was increased significantly, and the pulmonary venous flow parameters Sp,Si,SF were increased, while Dp,Di decreased significantly, both compared with NS.It was concluded that in patients with HT exist not only abnormal left ventricular diastolic filling, but also abnormal pumonary venous flow drainage, despite their normal left ventricular systolic function. |
